The United Nations has established a new decade,聽beginning in 2020, focused on the power of Education for Sustainable聽Development (ESD). 鈥淓SD for 2030鈥� calls for educators to help advance new聽skills, empower youth, increase public awareness, and build community聽partnerships to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. Kim Smith,聽Portland Community College Sociology Instructor and co-founder of the聽Greater Portland Sustainability Education Network (GPSEN), will highlight聽sustainability projects around the world, UNESCO鈥檚 ESD vision, and how we聽can all help create a sustainable future.
