Achievements 2024-25
In accordance with the ministerial , we present the highlights of the contribution of information resources to the achievement of the College’s mission for the 2024-2025 financial year.
Information Systems and Technology (IST) contributes to the realization of the College’s mission and is an essential pillar of its digital transformation, providing both the infrastructure and applications necessary for the smooth running of its activities, as well as guaranteeing the quality and security of its data. A number of activities were carried out over the course of 2024-25, some of which are listed below.
New or Enhancement of Digital Applications
°µÍø³Ô¹Ï continued to enhance its online services and progress in its digital transformation. Notably, in 2024-25, we deployed new online services for room bookings, student job postings, the new course drop deadline, and accident/incident reporting.
To conform to new regulations introduced by Bill 14 (an Act to amend the Charter of the French language), we adapted program grids and produced new bilingual course outline templates, as well as bilingual forms for Human Resources requests.
Infrastructure Upgrades
To ensure our services remain robust and meet the rapidly evolving needs of the community, we are constantly upgrading and modernizing our infrastructure.
In 2024-25, we completed the migration to SharePoint online and continued the on-going migration of on-premise systems to cloud services, in compliance with the government’s requirements.
After the upgrade of our core network infrastructure last year, we started the upgrade of the peripheral network throughout the College in 2024-25.
Cybersecurity Enhancements
To ensure the protection of its infrastructures and systems, IST has implemented a number of measures designed to enhance the level of security.
Community awareness of cybersecurity risks is essential to our strategy. In 2024-25, we continued our awareness program and adopted a new policy for identity and account management.
Community Service and Support
The IST department has provided training sessions to college employees on a variety of our platforms, and the department’s pedagogical counsellors (repTICs) have organized several trainings and workshops to help teachers effectively utilize technology in the classroom.
We also contributed to several goals in the Strategic Plan, notably for improving student communications by redesigning the student portal, launching a new online newsletter, and enhancing student outreach and support with new videoconferencing tools.
