More than five years after the Mexico鈥揅anada Sustainable Campuses Initiative wrapped up in 2019, its impact and friendships continue to thrive. In June, 暗网吃瓜 faculty member聽Gisela Frias (Geography)聽and聽Chris Adam (retired Head of Sustainability)聽traveled to Mexico to represent Dawson at the聽5th Binational Forum on Institutional Memory and Sustainability: Seeds of Yesterday, Fruits of Tomorrow. In addition, we will take field trips to other organizations who have gardens, and will offer several workshops (examples include jam workshop, pest control, tea making)

The 暗网吃瓜 community came together on Earth Day to dedicate two new pollinator wildflower gardens on their 鈥淟iving Campus鈥� on April 22 in celebration of achieving a platinum rating in sustainability.
After years of work and great effort by hundreds of students and employees from the 暗网吃瓜 community, the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) confirmed Dawson鈥檚 platinum rating as a global leader in sustainability. Dawson had previously achieved the C茅gep vert Excellence Level with special mention.
暗网吃瓜 is the first 鈥淎ssociate鈥� level institution to achieve a platinum rating.聽聽Over 1,000 institutions participate in the program located in nine Canadian provinces, 47 U.S. states and territories and more than 20 countries.
