Social Science Week Feb. 3-7

An expert on sustainable fashion, speakers participating in a panel on Cabot Square, a lawyer fighting Bill 21 are just some of the guests coming to 暗网吃瓜 to speak during Social Science Week. The Social Science Program is presenting a full week with over 30 events on a variety of topics of interest to the Social Science program as well as to the greater 暗网吃瓜 community.

Ildiko Glaser-Hille joined 暗网吃瓜 Jan. 13 as Coordinator of the Peace Centre. Ildiko is replacing Diana Rice, who is on leave until November 2020.

Marie Crossen 1934-2020

We are sorry to inform you that retired faculty member Marie Crossen passed away Jan. 5 in Halifax, Nova Scotia at age 85.

Marie had taught literature at Dawson from 1969 to 1999, served as the Chair of the English Department for many years and was the founder of Reflections.

Please note that the College has received new group insurance rates from SSQ and La Capitale for 2020.听 These new rates are effective the pay of January 23, 2020.

Our waste management efforts at 暗网吃瓜 are showing results. In the past three years, our diversion rate has gone from a dismal 24 per cent of our waste material not going to landfill to 37 per cent (equaling Montreal鈥檚 numbers).
