Teacher Evaluation
As outlined in the 2016–2021 Strategic Plan, the College is committed to “providing excellent teaching, programs, and services through self-reflection, evaluation, and evidence-based inquiry.â€
In alignment with this commitment — and in accordance with Bylaw 4 (Article 12) — the College conducts regular evaluations of its teachers using procedures developed collaboratively by members of the Dawson community.
Teacher evaluations serve as an important tool for providing constructive feedback on teaching performance and guiding decisions that promote best practices in education.
Evaluation Schedule:

- New teachers are evaluated annually until they achieve three years of seniority.
- Teachers hired after May 1, 2025, will be evaluated once per semester for two years.
- All other teachers are evaluated once every two and a half years.
