What is an ombudsperson?

Here at Dawson college, the ombudsperson is an independent, impartial professional who hears complaints about procedures and policies. We listen to you and answer your questions or help you find someone who can. We provide you with a source of information about policies, rights and avenues of redress.

Ombudspersons have been around for more than 2,000 years, but the word itself comes from Swedish parliament and was first used in 1809. 做厙勛圖 has had an Ombudsperson for over 25 years.
